February 23, Wine Tour Drive to the Driftwood Estate Winery up in the Kyle and Wimberley area south of Dripping Springs.
We will meet at 10:30 am in the HEB parking lot at Hwy 281 and Evans Road. Our departure time will be 11:00 am. We will drive/tour going up Hwy 281 turning off onto Hwy 165 towards Hwy 290 and Austin and meander through the hill country and arrive at the winery by 12:30 pm. We have reserved an area for a private wine tasting just for Longhorn Region. The wine tasting is $10.00 per person and includes tasting of all Driftwood Vineyards wines, private tasting room, and private staff. The benefits of having a private group are that you receive a private tasting and we will not have to compete with the crowd in the tasting room. You taste more wines than a traditional wine tasting.
Our driving event ends at the winery per PCA insurance regulations. For those who wish to meet after the wine tasting for food, and experience additional friendship and fellowship, we can proceed, on our own, to an eatery at that time.
